CLARA’S BIOClara Stone lives in the beautiful city of Boise, ID. Unlike what most believe about Idaho, it’s more than a sack full of potatoes. When she’s not writing, you’ll catch Clara reading YA and NA books, mostly romance, and enjoying time with her family. She is a proud CW TV addict.

Colleen here-I too am a CW addict. My current favorite CW show is Arrow. I read somewhere that he has 14 different types of arrows. I could be wrong, but I think it’s 14.

The book Clara is showcasing in the YA Scavenger Hunt this season is

Colleen here-Sorry. Got a little distracted staring at that cover. Whew! I just love a man with broad shoulders, don’t you? Just in case you’re as deeply curious about the story now as I am. You’re in luck. Here’s some info on it.

Life’s. Little. Surprises. The last thing seven-year-old Carrigan “Ace” Casper foresaw was an eight-year-old Heath Lovelly walking into her life the day her mother died. From that moment on, Heath sticks by her side, slowly becoming her strength, her confidant, and her entire world. What she doesn’t know is, she’s his saving grace, too.

Ten years later, Ace is handed another crippling challenge that threatens everything in her almost perfect life. Only, this time, she doesn’t turn to Heath, hiding the truth instead. But Heath knows Ace too well and won’t back down easily. He’s ready to do whatever it takes and will stay by her side until she accepts that their love is the kinda love worth fighting for.

Will he be her forever triumph or her unexpected downfall? Two lives. One story. And an unexpected journey to falling in love.

Colleen here-I love the name Heath. Sigh. Where was I? Oh, yes. But, wait. There’s more.

Sneak Peek Into Fierce Kinda Love, Lovelly #1.5-The Forever Kinda Love Novella

which you can add to your TBR list on Goodreads!

He stares back, the earlier smile in his eyes completely vanished. He jumps to his feet and saunters forward, carrying all of his over six foot body toward me. I gulp, and for the first time in my life, my palms sweat from nerves. I don’t know if it’s because of his godly good looks or because I can’t read him. And I pride myself in my ability to read people like the back of my hand.I study him and his appearance, which, by the moment, I’m starting to adore even more. His pressed, white button-up shirt stretches across his chest, and the loose tie around his neck hangs over his unbuttoned collar. His face stays stoic and calm, but there’s something in his hazel eyes that makes me nervous. He doesn’t exactly scream bad boy, but I know there’s something in him that sizzles just under the surface, a wildness. He runs his fingers over his perfectly-combed, golden locks. He extends his arm for a handshake, the nerves on his forearm popping as he does below his rolled up sleeve. I stare at it and blink.

“Pleasure to meet you,” he says, his voice incredibly warm, but amused.

When I look up at him, his lips stretch wide in a wicked grin that shines right to his eyes. And I feel light on my feet, like I’m on cloud nine or something.

“Hudson, Blake. Blake, Hudson.” Hope introduces us, reminding me we aren’t alone.

“Blake,” Hudson says, like he’s tasting my name on his tongue. “That’s an odd name for a girl. Don’t you think, Hope?”

That brings me back to earth and lands me on my butt, figuratively speaking. Of course.

“Hudson!” Hope squeals disapprovingly, backhanding him across his chest.

I glare at him, sharply, thinning my lips. “Remember this moment, golden boy. Because karma is mighty pissed, and she pays back with interest.”

I don’t give either of them a chance to respond before I pivot on my feet and head toward my team.

Wesley comes to my side, meeting me halfway to the group, and leans down, asking,  “What did you say to them? He looks like he got hit by lightning.”

I throw a glance over my shoulder and smile at the stunned expression on Hudson’s face. He looks at me like he’s seeing stars in middle of the day.

    1. Maud G says:

I’m very attracted to people who seem to be smart xD I like people who love science and history and politics and all that kind of stuff. I also have a thing for warm male voices :3

    2. Tawney Bland says:

I’m attracted to humor. My hubs makes me laugh sometimes my stomach hurts so much. I love his eyes and how tall he is but its humor that gets me. A way to my heart is a funny guy.

    3. Allana Lopez says:

I’m attracted to humor. I like men that can laugh easy and crack a joke even when life is stressful and frustrating. I’d also like someone to talk to that shares my sense of humor and doesn’t think I’m absolutely crazy

    4. Lisa T says:

A little bit of a rebel with eyes that speak that which words cannot. Also some confidence, a smile that pulls you in, and a sense of humor.

    5. Lizelle Rabulan says:

I’m attracted to a person’s humor and smile. It’s the effort of making you laugh so you’ll be more comfortable to them.

    6. Yun-a K. says:

I’m attracted to funny people who can carry on an somewhat intelligent conversation and don’t mind me rambling on about books.

    7. Stephanie says:

I am attracted to personality. Personality ultimately determines chemistry and therefore who I am attracted to (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually).

    8. miki says:

the eyes because they don’t lie and just after it’s the personnality he exibit ( intelligence etc) if he act arrogant or stupid it’s not for me

    9. Baggins (Kim Waters) says:

There are so many different things that first attract my attention, but I’d say most often it’s their eyes, smile or arms. They can make me melt. 😉

    10. Jordan says:

I’m attracted to smart people, facial hair (groomed), and a strong jaw. Also, I love to laugh so anyone who is funny and slightly perverse.

    11. Maggie says:

Nice eyes are fantastic, but watching someone interact with others, are they kind, silly, etc. is what can get me.

    12. Julie says:

I’m definitely attracted to “swagger.” It’ll probably be the death of me, especially if they’re super cocky about it.

    13. Hannah says:

I love eyes! It’s true they are the window to the soul 😉 Then the hands. I love hands. But that’s all first look stuff! Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂

    14. Jay says:

Most likely humor 😀 Especially a dark sense of humor, because I like tot throw those kind of jokes around and I don’t want him to run away screaming haha. Oh, and tattoos – they are just hot.

    15. Melissa M. says:

I noticed my husbands eyes first (windows to the soul!) and then his sense of humor…you can never laugh too much!

    16. Kira Budge says:

Now, if we’re just talking about initial attraction (which doesn’t say too much about whether a relationship is viable, of course) I have a thing for good jawlines. 😉

    17. L. A. says:

      A kind smile 🙂
(This is the first I’ve heard of Tiger’s Promise being out!!? Ahhh! Is it sold in stores, or just online?)

    18. Sean Chou says:

When looking at the front, the face does not have any deformities that would cause me to focus on them. Or if she is too tall, I might be staring at her chest. If approaching from the back, hair is definitely the main factor.

    19. Elizabeth Ervin says:

I loved how he could make me laugh when I didn’t feel like I was able to even smile.

      Thanks for the bonus giveaway!

    20. Vahhaba says:

Their eyes- for initial attraction but I would be more attracted to a guy if I knew he liked reading.

p.s I love Arrow and super excited for the new season.

    21. Alyssa L. says:

I’m easily attracted to guys who are smart and wears glasses. I like nerds. Haha. Also, I like guys who likes books too.

    22. Jaime H. says:

I think initially I would look at some kind of appearance, hair, eyes, etc. But I wouldn’t sell myself on just that. I’d start looking for other quirks such as politeness, respect, what they’re interested in, etc.

    23. Von P. says:

I’m always attracted to a person with full beautiful eyes and a smile that could dazzle. Someone like Tahereh Mafi’s.

    24. Sue Holmes says:

The eyes always and then the hands 🙂
Thank you for the bonus giveaway and being part of the hunt which has been such fun!

    25. Haily says:

Not sure. As a 16 year old, I’ve had a few crushes and they’ve been based on all sorts of different things including: humor, red hair (’cause that shows you won the genetic lottery), a tongue ring, and wanting to corrupt a high-strung, semi-neurotic boy. Yeah, so… I can’t figure out how they connect.

    26. Samantha Wallace says:

I am attracted to if they have a sense of humor and if they are kind/sweet instead of being mean to everybody. Thanks for the giveaway!!! 🙂

    27. Tiger's Warp says:

Eye contact can provide a wealth of information about a person during first time encounters. You can tell a lot about a person’s attitude and personality by gazing in to their eyes.

      My favorite color is BLUE! Then add a smile that reaches the eyes! WOW! Just sayin’! ;o}

    28. Katie T. says:

I am attracted to the eyes that show the light and darkness in them and a sense of humor that makes you laugh at things that aren’t even funny and also if they are compassionate with a kind smile that reaches their eyes.

    29. Kelly says:

The first thing I’m attracted to when meeting a person is their personality (are they funny, are they nice, are they outgoing, can they take a joke? are they going to be offended by my sarcasm?, etc.), and to be totally honest, the face (in my defense, that IS the first thing we see when meeting someone, there are few exceptions though)

    30. Mykala Davis says:

When I meet a guy the first time he first thing that I notice is their voice then it’s their eyes and then it’s their smile. The rest is just a bonus.

    31. Hailey says:

I’m attracted to people who are courteous, nice, and smart. And if they are cute ( tall and dark haired) then that’s a plus! XD

    32. Maggie says:

I’d say personality (humourous, kind, nice, smart, witty and all that great stuff 😉 ) Also eyes (I might have a thing for blue eyes) and hands 🙂

    33. Elisabeth says:

The number one thing that attracts me to guys is their personality. I like funny guys, sweet guys, and charming guys. But if they have black hair and tall then… meep.

    34. Jennie says:

The eyes definitely. I’m a sucker for blue eyes with dark brown hair. LOVE that combination! Also, the voice. I love those sexy, low male voices. I like to be able to sense intelligence in him as well. And if he can sing…yes please.

    35. Camille says:

The first thing I’m attracted to in a guy (beyond looks) is his personality or his sense of humor, since those usually go together.

    36. Brooke G. says:

Ooh, that’s tough, seeing as how I am quite fond of males. Obviously, the first thing I would notice is looks. Now, I don’t mean to imply that I like a man only for his outward appearance, but it wouldn’t hurt if he was something nice to look at. Beyond that, I just love personality. Specifically, I like a sweetheart. I don’t particularly enjoy the whole uber-confidant, perpetually-arrogant alpha-male type. I like my control, and I like a guy who respects that. So more like a swoon-worthy, utterly-adorkable, incredibly-endearing sweetheart. But he also has to be able to handle me, because I am a bit* of a spitfire. So, sweetheart + spitfire tolerance = attractive.
      *a lot

    37. Mary McCormick says:

Okay… this is a hard one!!!
I think it is their eyes personally. If they have AMAZING eyes that can express themselves then…. yeah. After, it is of course their sense of hunour and tolerance with me 🙂

    38. Katherina Barney says:

I like to think of guys as books: the cover is what grabs your attention first (the bright colors, cool lettering, the picture, all the above, you get the idea) this is like the guy’s outward appearance; the jacket description gives you a taste of what the book is like/what’s going to be happening; this is like your first impression(s) of him–does he seem aloof, cocky, patient, etc. But you don’t know, can’t fathom, the depth that may be laying beneath the surface until you crack it/him open and dive in! You either like it/him or don’t to varying degrees.

I go for the eyes and the facial features: high cheekbones, cool eyes, strong nose and jaw. Some examples would be: James McAvoy, Gregg Sulkin (Mason From Wizards of Waverly Place), Channing Tatum and Ryan Renolyds (of course!), Neil Patrick Harris, Shane Harper, I think you understand the kind of guy I’m referring to.

Thanks again for hosting and sharing I LOVED your exclusive material and looking forward for it coming out! I absolutely LOVE the Tiger’s Curse series, I have all but Promise and Dream (which can NOT to be coming out soon enough!!). And seriously, thank you for organizing this wonderful hunt. Been here from the beginning and each time I love it more and more!!

    39. Ana Barrios says:

When I meet someone for the first time, the number one thing I would be attracted to is his smile and having a kind look in his eyes.

    40. kara says:

I’m attracted smiles. I like to look up to see nice friendly smile. I’m not particular about eye color. Ironic, because I could stand to smile more. . .I just like to be greeted w/ good vibes and nothing mean, but my book boyfriends are usually tough guy that are softies, haha.

    41. Megan Quinn says:

I’m attracted to a person’s overall looks, and then as we start to talk, a sense of humor can make or break someone for me. I’m not too good around people who are in a state of constant seriousness.
