Anyone who’s read me knows I like romance. For that reason, I’ve decided to dedicate a blog post to my top ten book boyfriends of 2015. In no particular order, here they are! Jace Wayland The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare “There is no pretending,” Jace said with absolute clarity. “I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I’ll love you then.” Elias Veturius An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir And she has no idea how pretty she is – or what …

You don’t want your present to look last minute so take a few minutes and read this blog and get some great ideas. First there are some things you need to know about gift giving. We all like receiving and giving gifts but now think about that special person. This means you need to spend a few minutes thinking about the person. YA Summer Beach Reads
Since summer is upon us, I thought I’d make a list of books you might like to take to the beach with you. These are mostly YA. I think the only exception is Michael Crichton but I can’t remember anything too edgy in there for a YA reader. All of them feature the ocean or the beach in some way. Let me know which ones you’ve read and if you have any more suggestions and add them in the comments below! Happy summer everyone! SHIP BREAKER In America’s Gulf Coast region, where grounded oil tankers are being broken …
Top 10 Things at RT15
For those of you who’ve been following me for a while, you know that I attend a conference every year called the Romantic Times Convention. If you are a fan of romance or YA books, this conference is an amazing one for fans. A lot of author conventions focus on the craft of writing and this one does too but it also has what’s called a reader track. This means that during the entire week readers have cool parties, workshops, and activities designed just for them. Next year RT is happening in Las Vegas …

My Top Ten 80’s Video Picks
I was getting my hair done by my hair stylist, Jessica, the other day and we got to talking about perms and how she would never let me have one. I did have perms pretty much all through high school as that was the way to get big hair. Even now, I look at my hair sometimes and think if I add just little more hairspray I can once again achieve the proper height. My hair hasn’t been the proper height since 1991 in my opinion. Anyway we were having a good time talking about the 80’s and …

Ahhhh…what do I get for the guy in my life? Here are some ideas. #10 Gift Cards to things you know he already loves. Starbucks, Sport Stores, Restaurants, Movies, but don’t forget to places that will take something off his “Honey Do List” that he works on every weekend. Something like car washes so he doesn’t have to wash the cars, mowing services or landscaping, handyman help, etc. I hope this idea doesn’t come back to bite you. It might secretly be more of a gift for us when I think about it. #9 Ties. Something that …
Top Ten Books on my TBR Pile for 2015
In case you don’t know, I love to read. I am reading constantly and my goal for 2015 is to read 100 books. Most of the books I read are YA simply because I have access to a lot of these books and since I rub noses with the authors, I like to feel like I know what they write when I meet them. Also I just love YA. Right now my bookshelves are loaded with somewhere between 200 and 300 books that are demanding my attention and I am determined to get to all of them at some …
