Sphinxes Throughout History
Sphinxes Sphinxes are mythological creatures that have the head or top of a person and the body of a lioness or lion. They have been found throughout all of history starting with Egypt. The Egyptians would place them around temples and important structures like pyramids to protect the buildings from unwanted guests. They became a symbol of protection and knowledge. The biggest example and the most well known is the Great Sphinx in Giza. It was build form the bedrock of the desert to protect the pyramids. A story that is written on the monument tells of a …

Cool Summer Hair Styles
It’s so hot here in Arizona and my main hairstyle is a ponytail as high and I can get it to keep my long blonde hair off my neck. On the days I don’t wear a ponytail I will create a nest on top of my head and create a messy bun. These two staple hair styles get me through the hot summer and helps to sooth my itch to cut off my long tresses. I almost always chicken out and as I prepare for a haircut next week I’m starting my habitual stocking of Pinterest hairstyles. Here …
Spring & Summer Makeup
Lots of Color The Spring & Summer is the perfect time to play with new and vibrant colors you wouldn’t dream of during the frosty months of the year. With new movies like Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” you can feel your inner makeup artist bubbling with new fun ideas. Rich colors highlight your eyes, and vibrant lip glosses and lipsticks rival even the ripest juiciest berries. Cosmetic companies create colorful pallets that illuminate our ideas. You don’t need to be a hero to enjoy a smokey purple eye shadow. Just look at Maleficent! …
Duat: Tour of the Egyptian Afterlife
Tour of Duat Welcome to the afterlife, or as us Egyptians like to call it Duat. The first stop on our tour is the burial grounds. Here you will find what ever treasures you were buried with. This could include some very helpful instruction books to guide you in your afterlife, so keep them close. Duat is the place you go after death and is also home to the gods with its turquoise trees and beautiful landscape. It looks very similar to Egypt with its rivers and sand dunes but, it has a lake of fire and huge imposing walls …
Micellar Water an Old Beauty Secret
The French have been using Micellar water and it’s a new way to gently cleanse your face here in the United States. It’s as gentle as water even on sensitive skin. It washes away dirt and make-up and it attaches to the cotton ball instead of just being smeared around your face. It doesn’t sting like toner, and doesn’t leave your face moist and oily like cleansing oils. Your face feels clean, soft, and you only better, you can help yourself with lotions and with supplements like s23 for a better living. Many brands are starting to create their own …

Silky Straight Cleopatra Hair
As Colleen got ready for REAWAKENED book release party I watched her hair dresser transform Colleen’s strands into spun silk. I loved all the tips and tricks Jessica shared as she transformed Colleen’s hair. Not many of us are born with perfectly straight silky hair and those of us who are, wish we had curly hair. It’s fun to have options. It is also easier if we have the right tools, so get yours on Heidi’s website https://www.hairandmakeupgirl.com. She reviews a lot of affordable yet high-quality stuff in there. With a little time and some great tips we can …
